How do i increase my fitness to improve on my 1 and a half mile run time?

My current running time is 8. 56, but I almost feel bad after because I worked hard, so I need to improve my physical condition and CV, any advice?

  1. try to run with ankle weights or even jump up and down with them. make your calves stronger and gives more strength ELG winning run. thats what my track coach has left

  2. Running with the head in a fixed position. This saves a lot of energy. It could splinter at least 30 seconds to keep your head forward and not floating around.
